GOPDC as an SOE was divested in 1995 with SIAT (Ghana) Ltd. acquiring a major stake in the new company. Government of Ghana retains 20% of the shares in the company. GOPDC is an integrated agro-industrial company specialized in organic cultivation of oil palm, extraction of crude palm oil and palm kernel oil and in the refining and fractionation of these products.
