Kakum Rural Bank Ltd. Was established 25 years ago on February, 1980. It was formely kwown as Edinaman Rural Bank Ltd. But as the bank expanded, it became necessary to change the name of the bank to reflect its new catchment characteristic. So, the name Kakum River was adopted by the shareholders for the bank since it flows throughout the catchment or operational area of the bank. The new head office is fully computerized and a network of its agencies is underway to ensure effective monitoring and strict internal control adherence. The bank is hooked on the uinternet. The bank is spread over 5 (five) districts with nine agencies. Namely: Komenda, Edina, Eguafo, Abrem District(KEEA) 3, Cape Coast Munincipality 2, Mfantsiman Distric 1, Abura, asebu, Kwanmankese District 2 and Twifo, Hemang Lower Denkyira District 1.
