Unique Insurance Company Limited is a subsidiary of the Labour Enterprise Trust (LET), the business outfit of the Trade Union
Congress (TUC) of Ghana. Unique Insurance Company is also partially owned by some Co-operative societies and National Unions including the Ghana National Association of Teachers. Unique Insurance Company Limited is affiliated to the international Co-operative and Mutual Insurance Federation (ICMIF) with the secretariat based in Manchester, the United Kingdom. The ICMIF is represented in 70 countries by 140 insurance companies with Unique Insurance Company Limited being a member in Ghana. By its membership of this International Alliance, Unique Insurance Company is not only one of the most highly capital capitalized insurance companies in Ghana but also, one that was globalized at inception.
